Building Services
Bricklaying, plastering, rendering, paving, conservatories and minor extensions. Skilled tradesmen for the larger projects across Middlesbrough.

Solid Building Work for Middlesbrough Homes
Building work covers an enormous range of activities, and we are honest about the scale we cover. We are not a major construction company and we do not undertake new-builds, multi-storey extensions or works that require a structural engineer's full design package. What we do is the kind of small-to-mid-scale building work that adds real value to a domestic home: garden walls, patios, garage conversions, single-storey rear extensions, internal stud walls, plastering, rendering, repointing and paving. For those projects, we offer skilled tradesmen, fair pricing and the kind of personal attention you do not get from a bigger firm.
We cover everything in-house apart from gas, registered electrical and structural engineering, all of which we sub-contract to trusted local specialists when needed. The result is a single point of contact and a single quote for the whole project, with no unexpected gaps where one trade has finished and the next has not been booked.

Plastering and Rendering
Plastering is a finish trade where the difference between a great job and a bad one shows up the moment a low evening light hits the wall. Bumps, hollows, ripples and tide-marks all become painfully visible when the room is decorated. Our plasterers work to a properly trowelled finish, with the wall flat to within a couple of millimetres across its whole face, and they polish the surface so it is ready for paint with no further filling required. We plaster freshly board-lined walls, we re-skim tired old plaster, and we dub out and re-skim damaged sections to seamlessly match the surrounding wall.
External rendering is a different skill again. Modern silicone-render systems are vastly more durable than the old sand-and-cement renders, with self-cleaning properties and colour built into the finish coat. We apply rendering to whole house exteriors, gable ends, dwarf walls and garage walls. We always check the substrate first: rendering over crumbling or damp brickwork is a recipe for failure within a year or two.
Brickwork and Garden Walls
Brickwork is a satisfying, traditional skill, and we love the small jobs as well as the bigger ones. A new garden wall to replace a tired fence; a low retaining wall to terrace a sloping back garden; a brick column to support a new gate; a small extension built up from existing footings. We use proper foundations, the right mortar mix for the brick type and exposure, and we point the joints to match any existing brickwork on the site. The result lasts for decades.

Quotes for Larger Projects
For building work, free quotes always involve a site visit so we can see the job properly. Once a quote is accepted, we agree a start date, a programme and a finished date in writing. We take a small deposit on materials at the start, with stage payments through the job and a final payment on completion. There are no hidden extras unless variations are requested by you. Get in touch by email for an initial chat or via the contact form for non-urgent enquiries.

A standard double-bedroom-sized room re-skim falls in the range of £450 to £700. Whole-house re-plastering depends heavily on substrate condition.
We do single-storey rear extensions on standard layouts. Larger or unusual extensions may need a specialist contractor.
