About Our Service
The most common questions we are asked by new customers are below. They cover pricing, working hours, areas of coverage, guarantees, materials and the practicalities of booking work. No. We never charge a callout fee for jobs that go on to be completed. The quote you receive is the price you pay; there are no hidden extras and no inflated 'first visit' charges.
For non-urgent work we can usually offer an appointment within 2 to 5 working days. For genuine emergencies — active leaks, storm damage, broken windows — we aim to attend the same day where possible. email us for the fastest response.
Yes. All our workmanship is guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from completion. Many larger installations also come with manufacturer warranties of considerably longer than that. If anything goes wrong with the work we have carried out within the guarantee period, we will come back and put it right at no charge.

Most jobs are charged at our standard hourly rate, with a one-hour minimum to cover travel. For defined jobs (a new kitchen, a fence run, a flatpack assembly) we offer fixed-price written quotes in advance. Materials are charged at trade cost.
Either works. We carry a comprehensive range of common materials on our vans and we can supply most things at trade cost. If you prefer to source materials yourself, we are happy to fit anything you supply, provided it meets the relevant standards.
No — gas work legally requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. We work with several local Gas Safe engineers and are happy to recommend one for your job if needed.
We carry out the smaller, non-notifiable electrical jobs (light fittings, sockets, switches, fans, PAT testing). Larger Part P notifiable work — new circuits, consumer unit changes, full rewires — is sub-contracted to local registered electricians.

Absolutely — we always provide written quotes for any job over £100, and we are happy to provide them in writing for smaller jobs too if you prefer. Quotes are free and given without obligation.
Yes. We accept payment by card, bank transfer, or cash. Larger jobs are typically paid in stages — a deposit on materials at the start, intermediate payments through the job, and a final payment on completion.
Please ask when booking. Our pricing structure depends on the size and nature of the job.
Yes, always. Dust sheets, drop cloths, vacuuming and waste removal are part of the standard service. We aim to leave every property cleaner than we found it.
Yes — we are licensed waste carriers and we can dispose of old furniture, kitchen units, fencing, garden waste and similar materials responsibly through licensed waste sites. Disposal cost is itemised separately on the quote.
We sometimes work Saturday mornings for emergency jobs and customer convenience, but our main working week is Monday to Friday. Out-of-hours work is available for genuine emergencies.
